Stopping and Restarting Repeat Medication

Stopping Medication

To stop medication:

1. From the Patient Summary screen select Medication .
2. Select a drug to display the summary.
3. Select More - Stop:

   

4. The Stop Repeat screen displays, select the Arrow to display Reasons for Stopping and select from the list available:

   

5. Enter any notes in Notes and select Stop Now:

   

The medication is now inactivate.

Restarting Medication

To restart medication:

1. From the Patient Summary screen, select Medication .
2. Select the Inactive heading to view inactive medication:
   

   

3. Select the medication you want to restart.
4. Select More and then Restart:

   

5. Select the arrow to choose the reason for restarting.

   

6. Select the reason, and a tick displays:

   

7. Select Restart Repeat.
8. Select Continue to proceed:

   

9. The drug warnings display. Check these and if you want to proceed select Restart:

   

10. A message displays while the medication is restarted:

    

The medication now displays on the Active medication screen.
